not only will the world end on the aforementioned date, there will also be a wonka-esque 'golden ticket' for the two percent of 'believers' who are plucked from the boiling fires and gently deposited in a paradise beyond description.

aside from citing senile dementia as the probable root cause of his footling jabber, is there a single right minded sic individual who would take mr. camping at his word?

it would seem that there are!

mature human beings have left their jobs and are currently travelling the usa in 'rapture-vans' screeching and drooling as they deliver the final good word.

mr. camping is a so called 'preacher' and the figurehead of 'family radio', an organisation that owns some 150 radio stations throughout the usa and across the globe.

'family radio' is wealthy enough to have bought space on more than 2000 billboards across america to announce the imminent godly 'cull'.

how very tawdry and depressing this whole affair seems.

it would seem that, no matter how sophisticated our mental faculties become, there will always be a ready supply of gullible simpletons who will take the word of feeble minded charlatans such as mr. camping as gospel sic.

this disappoints me.
